First bake in Melbourne, Banana Cake. I am not quite happy with my first bake: 1) I wasn't quite familiar with gugu's oven and I turned on the grill function. The surface has already turned to dark brown before I realized I shouldn't do so. What's more, gugu's oven is so much hotter than my oven at home, I learned that I should bake it at temperature at least 20C lower than the recipe's recommended temperature. 2) While my cakes were still sitting in the oven, rising half way through, the oven went off by itself! I took a while to figure out that we had a power failure. Edward managed to fix it 10 mins later, but my babes in oven shrank (as hot air escaped) and grew shorter. So here you go, a short short, dark dark banana cake. Ah by the way, the three little cherry tomato modelling in the picture were home-grown, freshly picked cherry tomato!

Second bake: Strawberry Cream Cake, made upon fer fer's request. My first ever cream cake. I baked and applied the cream, fer fer did most of the decorating job, as usual =)

She wasn't happy with the cake decoration and decided to add some chopped strawberry in between the piped fresh cream. Ngim jim的女人。 By the way, mama you know how much does 2 boxes (about 500-600gm) of strawberry cost? Wahaha you won't believe it, 2 boxes only cost me $1!

The cake consists of a chiffon cake (8 inch), 600mL of whipped cream (this is how fats find their ways sneaking into my tummy), plenty of plum jam (I intended to use strawberry jam but I've only got plum jam in the fridge) and 2 boxes of strawberry. I assembled the cake based on fer fer's description on her favourite Cheesecake Shop's Strawberry Cake. 1 layer of chiffon, spread with plenty of jam and whipped cream; a second layer of chiffon, spread with more jam and whipped cream, arranged some sliced strawberry on top, followed by the third layer of chiffon. Simple, yet delicious. The cake was gone within 24 hours.^^

Marble Butter Cake.妈妈的挚爱!打从我要做第一个蛋糕开始姑姑就囔着要我做Butter Cake。她也爱呢!于是,我做了。Photo taken at dusk, colour looks deceiving but it's 100% original!

老豆这个叫over exposure?可我觉得很有feel哦~
