Week 2 Food

Pictures pictures~

First of all, my favourite - FOOD~!

First of all, we discovered a new restaurant (err, it's not really "new", I mean it's new to us~) on Tuesday! It's just next to Shanghai village....Their price is about the same as Shanghai Village (some are even cheaper!), the ambience is much better than Shanghai Village's, they have vege dumplings as Shanghai Village, as well as other dumpling variety, they have much more rice and noodles variety than Shanghai Village, their dish portions are much larger than Shanghai Village's, and the most important point is, their foods are soooooo yummy! I think I don't need to mention, but just to remind you that, fer and I can really eat a lot (we used to order 3 dishes for 2 of us....=p). So we ordered 素水饺 (15只),水饺(15只)和四喜焖肉汤面。
四喜焖肉汤面. Consists of a bowl of 阳春面 & a plate of 焖肥肉~weee~~$6.50~very cheap ho? The 阳春面 itself was yummy enough actually~! Taste like home made noodles to me~If I was too poor, I could just order the 阳春面 for $4.50 only!
Ohhh tell you, the fat and the skin 入口即化,肥而不腻,赞!Fer complained that the lean meat was a bit too hard. But I wouldn't mind - I just love it to be hard!

Vege dumplings~15 for only $6.50! Cost just the same as Shanghai Village~Taste all right as well~

水饺。15 for $7. Umm, the skin was a bit too thick, but still, taste all right~

Next, O-Bento @ Melbourne Central. I always pass by this tiny little shop, and it is always full of people. So I thought I would try it someday. Met Evonne at Melbourne Central today, when we were walking out of Melbourne Central, we passed by this shop, and decided to give it a try. As usual, it is packed with people, because the shop was really narrow. Evonne recommended me the Gyutan Don - beef tongue don (sounds scarry ho? =p). She said it was very delicious. Err, actually I would like to try, but their ramen looked really tempting, because the weather was pretty cold, I wanted to have some hot soup noodles, and also, after watching the Japanese drama Beautiful Life, I was really craving for ramen~

Evonne ordered curry chicken don. I tried, a bit sweet, not too bad, but I still prefer m'sia curry~hehehehe~

My ramen. With 2 sliced porks, seaweed, bamboo shoot, 蟹柳,卤蛋. It was delicious, but the weather was too cold, the soup got cold very soon T.T Oh I need to mention that the 卤蛋 was really yummy! And as you can see, the egg yolk was very big - almost bigger than the egg white! Oh I missed mama's 卤蛋 la.....T.T

Oh and we had Gyoza as side dish. It looks like 锅贴,but tastes like 饺子 - the skin is thinner and less chewy compared to 锅贴. Not bad not bad, at least we loved it!

After being shooed (nola, but there were too many people waiting, we couldn't sit there for too long), we decided to have dessert at Max Brenner. On the way there, saw a cupcake bakery.

The super giant cupcake~lol~I think it is not edible~

They have lots of colourful cupcake on the display window~cute~! ^^ After we went back the shop few hours later, almost all of the cupcakes were sold.

All right, back to Max Brenner. It's famous of its chocolate and chocolate products. We ordered a chocolate fondue for two, and a belgian waffle. OMG! They were heaven to chocolate lovers like me!

Hohohoho, I'm sorry papa mama, since I haven't tried chocolate fondue before, I decided to try it today. This tray, consists of a milk chocolate and a dark chocolate fondue (the lighter colour one is milk chocolate and the darker colour one is dark chocolate), some sliced banana and strawberries (the left bowl), 4 marshmallows and some banana cakes, costs me $16. =p

They lit a small fire to keep the chocolate melted~so cute~^^ Ohh the milk chocolate was realllly delicious! It was milky, and tasted like Lindt milk chocolate, which I love so much! Regarding the dark chocolate, I dunno, but to me, it was a bit too sweet for dark chocolate - I prefer the bitterness in dark chocolate. But still, I finished both! ^^

Belgian waffle, recommended by Evonne. OMG! The waffle was toasted just right, 外脆内软, and the melted chocolated was still warm in my mouth. The combination was just PERFECTO! I particularly love this melted chocolate - I kept licking my fork (I would actually love to lick the plate, but thought that people around me would be afraid of my action....T.T) and my knife~ It wasn't cheap as well - $5 for this piece of waffle x.x But, I think it worthed this money!

And, I always kept an eye on what people ordered. I noticed that many of them ordered hot chocolate, and the chocolate lick - just the thick melted chocolate without the "side dish". Hmm, maybe I should try them next time~I will definitely go back! Oh, and they sell individual chocolate as well - each for $1.90. =.= The chocolates looked just like piece of art, it's a shame that I didn't get the chance to take some photos, because I was busy trying their new chocolate - lychee and coconut truffle =p. Awwww.....I could finally understand why would people spend $1.90 on a tiny little small piece of chocolate. The waitress told us that she hates coconut, but found that the coconut truffle was all right, and I agree with her. They didn't taste like artificial lychee or coconut flavour, and mixed perfectly with the chocolate flavour. The texture was no longer like a chocolate, it was a bit more fluffy. We tasted 2 chocolates, which cost $3.80, free of charge~! Thanks to Evonne's sociability~lol~

Conclusion: had a happy week 2~^^ I guess I wouldn't be happy when I stand on the scale later =p Planning to go to Garage next Tuesday - a bar/cafe selling Indonesian food. Guess what? I saw Soto and tempeh on their menu! ^o^
