Life in Reservoir

Some photos at gugu's house, as promised.

Rice dumplings that cost me $9.30 - the green threaded one is 咸猪肉粽 ($4.80), consists of pork, green bean, mushroom and salted egg; the red threaded one is 马来西亚粽 ($4.50), the only difference from the 咸猪肉粽 is that it contains lotus seeds...Funny isn't it? I never knew we (m'sian) use lotus seeds in rice dumplings.

Told ya, unlike the dumplings we normally have, they are plain in colour.

The mega huge cauliflower (note the comparison between the cauliflower and the rice dumpling)only cost gugu ~$2. She was so thrilled and asked me to take some photos. She finally realised how cheap things are in melb, e.g. mega huge brocolli for $1+, 5kg of potato for $3, packham pear and sundowner apple that only cost 99 cents per kilo, etc.

Next, steamboat~

Sliced fish and pork.

This photo is pretty self-explained. From bottom: crab stick, tofu fish cake, meat ball. The meat ball - 香菇贡丸 was everyone's favourite!

As well as sliced chicken, sotong ball, fish ball, lamb sliced (everyone except gugu and er gu loves it!), 金针菇 and tofu. We had 2 soup base - tomyam and chicken soup, courtesy of maggi's tomyam and chicken stock cube =p

The first dinner in gugu's house after I officially moved in =) Cauliflower and carrot stir-fry, stir fried potato and chicken in black soy sauce and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was a success, thanks to the ready-made mapo tofu sauce bought from asian grocery~

The first dinner I cooked for them - anO's spaghetti bolognese. Everything was prepared and cooked by myself~(of course with the help of Dolmio's tomato paste =p). Papa mama don't be jealous, I promise I'll cook for you when I get home =p
That's all for now. Shall update my blog more frequent from now on~
