I did two great things today, so I thought I need to report~
1. Discover new "time-saving" route
I knew there's a tram stop nearby Thornbury station, but not sure which route the tram runs. And recently, I noticed that it was the number 86 tram (which I used to catch) route is "nearby" the Thornbury train station. I had no idea what does the "nearby" mean. But I had a plain idea that it wasn't too far. I've been planning to explore my discovery, but I was too busy the few weeks before mid semester break. So today, as my practical class over half an hour earlier, I decided to try the new route. I caught the 11.18am train at Melbourne Central, and took only 20 minutes to reach Thornbury train station. Oh forgot to tell, I goggled last night, and briefly knew that all I need to do is to go straight and I'll reach High Road (where I need to catch the tram). So I just walked and walked and walked, not that far, only took about 5 mins, and I saw some familiar buildings! The only pai seh thing was, I didn't know where was the tram stop. I knew there's one tram stop nearby, but I couldn't recognise. So I walked and walked and walked, and didn't realize that I missed one tram stop (you can't blame me, the so called "tram stops" actually are only a small "road sign", sometimes with a bench). Luckily there's another one not far away. And, I reached home at 12.20pm. ^^
2. Cook porridge
As fer is very busy, I was appointed to prepare dinner. Err, you can imagine my speed~I thought I would at most spend 1 hour to cut and preparing vege (such as celery, carrot, cabbage and tomato). And it ended up that I spent 2.5 hours........1.5 hours on celery!!! Stupid celery, I've got no idea what those fibres for. Insoluble, undigestible....and the cabbage actually was frozen. Yep, I said it was frozen....=.= So it was so hard to cut. I 砍,劈,切,锯样样皆其,only managed to cut one portion out. I started on 1.30pm, and finished at 4pm. Regret now, I should take photo of my 壮举!Then, I thought it would be easier to cook the porridge. Again, I was proven wrong. I took about one hour to make the 生米煮成熟饭. So, the preparation and the cooking took me half day....But, the porridge doesn't taste too bad....and here, I'd like to thank tuna for its great effort in making my porridge much more edible~
